Avenue is an independent charity. This means that we are a non-profit-making organisation. All of our income supports the services that we provide to families and individuals. Unfortunately, being a charity doesn’t mean that we can always offer a free service, but this is what we aim for. We work hard to keep our costs low and to ensure that finance is not a barrier for people.

Avenue faces all the normal overheads of any business, and we also continuously invest in training, supervision and staff development so that we can be sure we are offering the best possible services to families and individuals.

We get financial support from a range of sources, including Local Authorities, the Scottish Government and grant funders.

We know that families come is a vast range of shapes and sizes, and some will be in stronger financial positions than others. If you can afford it, please consider making a donation to support Avenue’s work, or doing some fundraising for us. You can find some suggestions on our ‘How You Can Help’ page. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help us to keep our fees low and to offer free services where we can.
